8.1. Introduction
The peripheral elements of a SICAM TM system communicate with the master control
element via the serial Ax 1703 peripheral bus. The cabling of this Ax peripheral bus is
dependent on the number of peripheral elements that are to be connected and whether the
connection is to be carried out electrically or/and optically.
The following chapter shows which cabling options are possible between master control
element, bus interface module and peripheral element.
Hint
The electrical Ax bus cable (USB-cable) must be conducted outside the cable ducts provided for the
peripheral cabling.
