13.5 Testing the Configuration in Conjunction with the PLC
If the tests have been successfully performed in Offline mode, test the TP27,
TP37 in conjunction with the connected PLC. This checks that the correct data
areas have been configured.
Step Action
1 Connect the TP27, TP37 to the PLC. A message on the TP27,
TP37 indicates that it has been connected successfully.
2 Acknowledge this message.
3 Set the TP27, TP37 to ONLINE mode using the System Settings
standard screen.
All the items contained in the configuration that are necessary for
communication with the PLC can then be tested. Depending on the
configuration, these might be:
S event and alarm messages
S buffers for event messages and alarm messages
S print functions
S automatic message logging
S selecting screens etc.
