6-32 (E) Chapter 6 Editing
6-7 DMC Editing
6-7 DMC Editing
Allows you to use slow motion and other variable speeds during playback and
editing. DMC stands for Dynamic Motion Control.
Notes
Before executing AUTO EDIT, you must execute PREVIEW. After
PREVIEW if the edit point and channel have been corrected, PREVIEW
must be executed again.
Playback in the shuttle mode cannot be conducted during DMC editing while
PREVIEW is in progress.
Entry cannot be performed on the channel during AUTO EDIT.
A peripheral device can be selected as the player, but material using
transition effects cannot be edited.
In the Insert mode, INS (Insert) cannot be set.
In PREVIEW, in addition to the conventional playback port (P1), the
recording port (R1) is also used as a recorder. Therefore, if the recorder is
selected during DMC editing while PREVIEW is in progress, the
RECORDER button, the P1 and R1 buttons (or the P2 and R2 buttons) light
up. Depending on the port selected in MAV-777 Expansion menu item 317
PANEL MODE RECORDER PORT, the recording device automatically
lights.
You cannot execute PREVIEW when material is loaded to the R1 port or the
meter panels Remote button is lit.
You cannot select the same port for the player and recorder.
You cannot perform abbreviated editing or on-the-fly editing.
