5-3-1. OUT-38 Board (XVS-8000/XVS-7000/XVS-6000)/OUT-38A Board
(XKS-8160)
The OUT-38/38A boards are output processing boards that have out process, DME UTIL, and AUX KEY functions.
The OUT-38/38A boards consists of the following blocks.
• Output process circuit
• DME UTIL circuit (OUT-38 board)
• AUX KEY circuit (OUT-38A board)
The OUT-38/38A boards are controlled by the CPU-DP module on the CA-92 board.
Output process circuit: IC002, IC003, IC005
Out processes (including CCR, video process, blanking, SafeTitle, superimposition, and output phase adjustment ) are
added to the SDI signals sent from the serial cross point circuit, and then processed SDI signals are sent to the CNO-43
board.
Both OUT-38 board and OUT-38A board contain 24 output process circuits.
DME UTIL circuit: IC002, IC003
Signal processes (including CCR and video process) are added to the SDI signals sent from the serial cross point circuit,
and then processed SDI signals are sent through the XPT-38 board in SLOT2 to the two DVP-53A boards.
AUX KEY circuit: IC002, IC003
Out processes (including CCR, video process, blanking, SafeTitle, superimposition, and output phase adjustment) and
the AUX KEY process are added to the SDI signals sent from the serial cross point circuit, and then processed SDI
signals are sent to the CNO-43 board.
The OUT-38A board contains four AUX KEY circuits.
