PRESS
To remove the belt, depress the red push-
button on the buckle. The belt will retract
automatically.
WARNING
Improper use of seat belts could
cause injuries.
•
Do not wear the shoulder portion
of seat belt under the arm.
•
Shoulder belt should be positioned
midway over the shoulder, never
across the neck.
•
Lap belt should be fitted snugly
around the hips, not the waist.
Using the Belt
NOTE
If the belt locks when being pulled
out, rewind it completely in the
retractor, then pull it out to the de-
sired length.
Pull the belt evenly out of the retractor and
guide it across the body, making certain that
it is not twisted.
Insert the metal latch plate into the buckle.
Make sure the latch plate is securely fas-
tened in the buckle by pulling it.
Insert the metal latch plate into the buckle
until it locks.
To lengthen, hold the metal latch plate at
right angles to the belt and pull on the belt.
To shorten, pull the free end of the belt
away from the metal latch plate, then pull the
belt clip to take up the slack.
Position the lap belt low on the hips.
To remove the belt, depress the red button
on the buckle.

Lap belts are installed in the center
of the second seat.
