10.1.1 Troubleshooting Chart
Check generator
Resistance between generator
connection (1) and engine ground
approx. 0.6 Ω?
Start
Check ground wire between tank housing
and crankcase
Resistance between switch housing
and crankcase approx. 0 Ω?
Do both handles warm up?
System in order.
Measure resistance of
individual heating elements
with ohmmeter
(On machines with carburetor heating, pull connector
pin of wire from heating element out of the
round plug)
