– Remove the chain sprocket
cover.
– Remove the bar an chain – wear
work gloves to protect your hands
from injury.
Disengage the chain brake by

pulling the hand guard towards
the front handle.
Remove the E-clip (1),
washer (2) and, if fitted, the rim
sprocket (3).

Pull off the clutch drum (1) with
needle cage (2).
– Inspect the needle cage for
damage.
On machines with
QuickStop Super:

– Press down the throttle trigger
interlock to disengage the
coasting brake and then pull off
the clutch drum (1) with needle
cage (2).
Pull off the chain sprocket (1) or
clutch drum (2).
– Remove the needle cage.

Inspect the clutch drum (1) for
signs of wear.
If there are noticeable wear marks
on the inside diameter of the clutch
drum (1), check its wall thickness. If
it is less than 80% of the original
wall thickness, fit a new clutch
