• Connect the electric tachometer or the multi circuit tester to
the high-tension cord.
• Start the engine and set the engine idle speed between 1 600
and 1 800 r/min by turning the throttle stop screw

$ Engine idle speed: 1 700 ± 100 r/min

09900-25008: Multi circuit tester set
FUEL HOSE
Inspect the fuel hose for damage and fuel leakage. If any dam-
ages are found, replace the fuel hoses with a new one.
CLUTCH
• Clutch cable play should be 10 – 15 mm (0.4 – 0.6 in)

measured at the clutch lever holder before the clutch begins
to disengage.
• Loosen the locknut
1 and adjust the clutch cable play by
turning the adjuster
2 in or out to acquire the specified play.
$ Clutch lever play: 10 – 15 mm (0.4 – 0.6 in)
Inspect initially at 1 month and every 6 months there-
after. Replace every 4 years.
Inspect initially 1 month and every 6 months.
