OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT
Drain the engine oil as described in the engine oil replace-
ment procedure.
Remove the oil filter cap
1 and oil filter
2.
Replace the oil filter with a new one.
Install the spring
3 correctly.
Apply engine oil lightly to the O-ring

Install the oil filter cap and tighten the nut securely.
Add new engine oil and check the oil level as described in the
engine oil replacement procedure.
$ Engine oil capacity
Oil change: 0.85 L (0.9/0.7 US/lmp qt)
Oil and filter change: 0.95 L (1.0/0.8 US/lmp qt)
Engine overhaul: 1.1 L (1.2/1.0 US/lmp qt)

Replace initially at 1 month and every 12 months
thereafter.
When reassembling the oil filter, make sure that the oil
filter is installed as shown above. If the filter is
installed improperly, serious engine damage may
result.
Clean every 12 months.
A hot muffler can burn you. The muffler will be hot
enough to burn you for some time after stopping the
engine.
Wait until the muffler cools to avoid burns.
