CRANKCASE BEARINGS
BEARING INSPECTION
While the bearing is in the crankcase, rotate its inner race and
check to see that it turns smoothly. If it does not turn quietly and
smoothly, or if there are signs of any abnormalities, the bearing
is defective and must be replaced as follows.
BEARING REMOVAL
Remove the bearing retainers (
1,
2).
Remove the oil seals
3 with the special tool.
& 09913-50121: Oil seal remover
#
Remove the washer
4.
Remove the bearings.
& 09921-20240: Bearing remover set
09921-20210: Bearing remover
09930-30102: Sliding shaft

The removed oil seals should be replaced with new
ones.
The removed bearings should be replaced with new
ones.
