Side Air Bags and Side Curtain Air

Side air bags (if equipped) are located in
the part of the front seatbacks closest to
the doors. The words “SRS AIRBAG” are
molded into the side air bag cover to iden-
tify the location of the side air bags.

Side curtain air bags (if equipped) are
located in the roof lining. The words “SRS
AIRBAG” are molded into the pillar to iden-
tify the location of the side curtain air bags.
NOTE:
• Side curtain air bag provides a cushion
for the front passenger and the rear pas-
senger.

Side air bags and side curtain air bags are
designed to inflate only in severe side
impact collisions.
EXAMPLE
WARNING
If your vehicle is equipped with a side
air bag, do not install a child restraint
in the front passenger’s seat. If the
passenger’s side air bag inflates, a
child in a child restraint could be
injured.
