TowingSafety
•Towonlywithamachinethathasahitchdesigned
fortowing.Donotattachtowedequipmentexcept

•Followthemanufacturer’srecommendationfor
weightlimitsfortowedequipmentandtowing
onslopes.Onslopes,theweightofthetowed
equipmentmaycauselossoftractionandlossof

•Neverallowchildrenorothersinorontowed

•Travelslowlyandallowextradistancetostop

InspectingandCleaning
afterMowing
Aftermowing,thoroughlywashthemachinewitha
gardenhosewithoutanozzlesothatexcessivewater
pressuredoesnotcontaminateanddamagetheseals
andbearings.Donotwashawarmengineorthe
electricalconnectionswithwater.
Aftercleaningthemachine,dothefollowing:
•Inspectthemachineforpossiblehydraulic
uidleaks,damageorweartohydraulicand
mechanicalcomponents.
•Inspectthecuttingunitsforsharpness.
•Lubricatethebrake-shaftassemblywithSAE30
oilorspraylubricanttodetercorrosionandhelp
keepthemachineperformingsatisfactorilyduring
thenextmowingoperation.
HaulingtheMachine
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
intoatraileroratruck.
•Useafull-widthrampforloadingthemachineinto
atraileroratruck.
•Tiethemachinedownsecurelyusingstraps,
chains,cable,orropes.Bothfrontandrearstraps
shouldbedirecteddownandoutwardfromthe
machine.
