Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodof
time,performthefollowingstepspriortostorage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrass
clippings.Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,if
necessary;refertothecuttingunitOperator's
Manual.Usearustpreventiveonbedknivesand
reelblades.Greaseandoilalllubricationpoints;
refertoGreasingtheMachine(page33).
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweighton
thetires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidandlter
andinspectthehydrauliclinesandttings.
Replace,ifnecessary;refertoCheckingthe
HydraulicLinesandHoses(page45)and
CheckingtheHydraulicLinesandHoses(page
45).
4.Removeallfuelfromthefueltank.Runthe
engineuntilitshutsofffromlackoffuel.Replace
thefuellter;refertoReplacingtheFuelFilter
(page37).
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfrom
thecrankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilandFilter(page35).
6.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinder
headns,andblowerhousing.
7.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Either
storeitontheshelforonthemachine.Leave
thecablesdisconnectedifitisstoredonthe
machine.Storethebatteryinacoollocationto
preventthebatteryfromdischargingquickly..
8.Storethemachineinawarm,drylocation.
