1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Allowtheenginetocool.
3.Openthefronthood.
4.Checkthecoolantlevelinthereservoir(Figure100).

ServiceInterval:Every50hours
WARNING
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,theradiatorwillbe
pressurizedandthecoolantinsidewillbehot.If
youremovethecap,coolantmaysprayout,causing
severeburns.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcaptocheckcoolant
levels.
•Donotremovetheradiatorcapwhentheengine
ishot.Allowtheenginetocoolforatleast15
minutesoruntiltheradiatorcapiscoolenough
totouchwithoutburningyourhand.
Note:Thecoolingsystemislledwitha50/50solutionof
waterandethylene-glycolantifreeze.

6.Installtheradiatorllercap,ensuringthatitistightly
sealed(Figure101).
7.Iftheairtemperatureisbelow0°C(32°F),mixthe
ethyleneglycolandwatercompletelybyrunningthe
engineatoperatingtemperaturefor5minutes.
