Enhancing the Surround Sound Effect
The Surround function expands the audio listening field wider and deeper than you would believe possible from a TV's
speakers. This function process stereo signals from a TV broadcast or VIDEO input.

Select the STEREO mode following the
steps on the previous page.
Press SUR on the Remote Control to call
up the Surround ON/OFF mode on the
screen display as shown.
Press SUR until "SURROUND ON" is
displayed in magenta.
SURROUND ON
SURROUND OFF
TO SELECT PUSH SUR
The Surround function has now been activated.
Note: Normally you can leave the MTS function set to "STEREO" and the
Surround function set to "ON". The TV will automatically produce
either Surround stereo or monaural, depending on the broadcast
type.
To deactivate the Surround
Select "SURROUND OFF" in step 2 above.
