Connecting an Audio Amplifier
Connect the VARiable AUDIO OUT jacks to the auxiliary input jacks on a stereo amplifier. You can control the audio
signal going to the audio level using the Remote Control for this TV.

* The "fixed level" audio signal present at the AUDIO jacks of VIDEO/AUDIO OUT jacks is also ideal for connecting an
audio cassette recorder (or amplifier) to record audio from the TV. This constant audio signal is not affected by
pressing the VOLUME buttons on the TV or the TV's Remote Control.
1 Turn the TV and the stereo amplifier ON.
2 Adjust the VOLUME buttons on the TV for a moderate
listening level.
3 Disconnect the built-in speakers following the instruc-
tions at the right.
4 Adjust the volume control on the stereo amplifier for
a moderate listening level.

Control of the audio can now be done using the
VOLUME and MUTE buttons on the Remote Control
of the TV, and using the AUDIO menu items (BASS,
TREBLE and BALANCE).

Press MENU repeatedly
to display the AUDIO
menu.
Press ADV repeatedly
until "SPEAKERS" is
displayed in magenta.

Press - or + until
"SPEAKERS OFF" is
displayed in magenta.
The built-in speakers will
be turned off.
