4.3.2 Example Job 8 - Engraving Objects Using the Water Feed Mechanism
On certain materials, such as glass, water can be used to lubricate and cool the glass during engraving
and will assist in producing a smoother engraved surface. In this example a shot glass will be engraved
using the water feed mechanism and a rotating diamond cutting tool with the burnishing adapter.
Remove the standard nose cone by turning it to the left (clockwise when viewed from the top of the
spindle).
Install the water feed nose cone in place of the standard nose cone and securely tighten the nose cone
to the micrometer by turning it to the right as shown.
