• If you do not press any key within 20
seconds, the remote access call automatically
disconnects.
• When the answering system memory is full,
the telephone announces, “Memory is full.
Enter the remote access code.”
• When the answering system is turned off,
the telephone answers after 10 rings, and
announces, “Please enter your remote
access code.”
Set your remote access code
You can set your own remote access code
from 00 to 99.
1. Press MENU on the cordless handset in
idle mode to enter the main menu.
2. Press q or p to choose Answering sys
and then press SELECT.
3. Press q or p to choose Ans sys setup
and then press SELECT.
4. Press q or p to choose Remote code
and then press SELECT.
5. Press the dialing keys (0-9) to enter
the code, or q or p to select from 00
to 99, then press SELECT to save. You
hear a confirmation tone.
Expand your telephone
system
Add and register expansion
handset
You can add new cordless handsets
(SN5107, purchased separately) to expand
your telephone system. Your telephone
base supports a maximum of four cordless
handsets.
Additional handsets are assigned numbers
in the sequential order.
Charge the new handset without
interruption for at least 30 minutes before
registering it to he telephone base.
After charged, each expansion handset
displays To register HS, see manual.
• You cannot register a handset if any other
system device is in use.
• Only one handset can register to the
telephone base at a time.
To register a SN5107 handset:
1. When the telephone is not in use,
press and hold PAGE at the telephone
base for about five seconds until the
visual ringer indicator light turns on.
Release PAGE.
2. Press the pound (#) key on the
handset. The handset displays
Registering... Please wait.
The handset show Registered and you
hear a beep when the registration process
completes. The registration process takes
about 60 seconds to complete.
If the registration fails, the handset displays
Registration failed, and then To register
HS, see manual. Remove the handset from
the charger and repeat the registration
process again.
