Thread a new 1000 mm (40“) long and 4,0 mm (0,16“) diameter starter
rope as shown in the drawing (do not forget washer (19) and then tie
knots at both ends.
Pull knot (20) into rope drum (21).
ATTENCION: The knot or, as the case may be, the end of the rope
should not jut out over the surface of the rope drum.
Insert knot (22) into the starter handle (23).
Guide the rope into the recess (24) on the rope drum and use the rope
to turn the drum two turns in the direction shown by the arrow.
Holding the rope drum in your left hand, straighten out the twist in the
rope with your right hand, pull the rope tight, and hold.
Release the rope drum. The drum‘s spring force will now wind the rope
around the drum.
Repeat procedure
three times. The starter handle must stand out from
the fan housing.
