Lock Function
This function prevents accidental changes to the
frequency setting and the keypad controls.
z Setting the lockout conguration
You may choose the controls to be locked.
1. Press and hold the
[
MENU
]
key to display the
SETUP menu screen.
2. Select “Config” on the
screen by pressing the
[
]
or
[
]
key, and then press
the
[
ENT
]
key.
3. Select “Lock Select” on the
screen by pressing the
[
]
or
[
]
key, and then press
the
[
ENT
]
key.
4. Select one of the following lock conguration by
pressing the
[
]
or
[
]
key, and then press the
[
ENT
]
key.
Key Lock / DIAL Lock / All Lock
The setting will be determined and the display will
return to the Cong menu.
z Activating the lock feature
Press and hold the
[
BACK
]
key.
According to the setting
of the lockout configura-
tion, either of “Key Lock”,
DIAL Lock”, or “All Lock
will appear on the screen
for 2 seconds and then the
display will return to the
previous screen.
While the FTA-850L are locked, the controls with
the VOL (inner) knob and/or the keys except
the PTT switch, the POWER switch, the SQL
switch,and the
[
121.5
]
key are disabled.
If the DIAL knob is rotated or any of the keys is
pressed, either of “DIAL Lock”, “Key Lock”, or “All
Lock” will appear on the screen for 2 seconds and
then the display will return to the previous screen.
To turn the lock feature o󰀨, press and hold the
[BACK] key again.
UNLOCK” will appear on the screen for 2 sec-
onds and then the display will return to the previ-
ous screen.
