9. Measure free length and installation load of
ratchet spring (see Figure 34). Installation Load:
14.7N (3-3.5t)

10. Check the adjusting spring for damage and
confirm the adjusting lever is functioning properly.
Replace if necessary.
Assemble, Wheel Brake
1. Coat the wheel cylinder rubber cup and piston
with brake fluid.
2. Assemble the spring, rubber cup, piston, and
shield.
3. Mount the wheel cylinder on bottom plate.
NOTE: Confirm that all parts are in correct position
during installation and bolts are torque to
14.7-19.6 N•m (10.84-14.46 lbf) for 2-2.5T and
17.6-26.5 N•m (12.98-19.55 lbf ft) for 3-3.5T.
4. Mount the bottom plate onto the front axle. Torque
to:120-140 N•m (88.50-103.26 lbf).
5. Add lubricating grease at items 1, 2, 4 and 5 on
Figure 35. Be careful not to allow this grease to
adhere to brake shoes.
