• Main journal bearing

Selection
of
main journal bearings:
• Remove the main journal bearings
out
of
crankcase.
• Clean the bearing seat in
the
crankcase
where
the bearing is fitted.
• Measure the diameter
®
of
the
bearing
seat at
two
places.
NOTE: _
If
the diameter
of
the bearing seat in the
crankcase exceeds 49.02
mm
,
the crankcase
should be replaced
with
a
new
one. The
new
crankcase includes new journal bear-
ings. The each inside diameter
of
bearing is
normally
45.000 - 45.012
mm.
The average
of
the
two
values
is
used
to
choose
the
bearing.
• Select the proper oversized
main
journal
bearing
with
the
following
table.
