BRAKE PAD INSPECTION
1.0perate the brake lever.
2.lnspect:
• Brake pad
Wear indicators
CD almost touch the brake
disc
-t Replace the brake pads as a set.
Refer to "REAR WHEEL AND
REAR
BRAKE" in CHAPTER 6.

BRAKE SHOE INSPECTION
1.0perate the brake pedal.
2.1nspect:
• Brake shoes
Wear indicator
CD reaches the wear limit
line ® -t Replace the brake shoes as a
set.
Refer
to "REAR WHEEL AND REAR
BRAKE" in CHAPTER 6.

BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: _
The brake light switch is operated by move-
ment of the brake pedal.
Adjustment is correct when the brake
light
comes on just before the braking effect
starts.
1.Check:
• Brake
light operation timing
Incorrect --? Adjust.
2.Adjust:
• Brake light operation
timing

Adjustment steps:
• Hold the main body CD of the switch so
that
it does not rotate
l
and turn the
adjuster
® in or out until the proper oper-
ation
timing is obtained.
Turning in:
brake
light
comes
on
later.
Turning out:
brake
light comes
on
sooner.
