WHEEL TREAD CHANGE
C507 C508
SETTING THE WHEEL TOE-IN AT TRACTORS WITH FRONT DRIVING AXLE
Note: As standard, the tractors are provided with hydrostatic steering.
Set the wheels symmetrically with the longitudinal axis of tractor.
In the front in horizontal plane of wheel axes measure the distance between rims.
Mark the measuring point.
Drive the tractor so that the marked points would be in the rear in horizontal plane
of wheel axes (turning by 180°) and again measure the distance between the
marked points.
Loosen the lock nuts of the heads of ball joints (2) of the connecting steering rods
at the hydraulic cylinder.
By turning the rod of the ball joint (3) adjust the toe-in. Execute the adjusting
symmetrically at the both balls, so that the same turning radius at the both sides
could be preserved (measure at the rim sides).
Tighten the lock nuts of the heads of ball joints (2) by torque 122 - 136 N. Upper
surfaces of heads (1) must be parallel.
FENDERS OF FRONT DRIVING AXLE
Fenders of front driving axle are fitted on
adjustable holders that could be laterally
(by displacement of the screws (a) into
other holes) and considering height (by
displacement of the screws (b) into other
holes) adjusted according to the required
tread values and sort of used tires.
