4.6.2 Local access to RMC by host (connections)
Figure 4-18 shows local access with an RMC that has been configured for connection to the customer
wide area network. Local access to the RMC using Ethernet does not require disconnecting the RMC
from the network. You can connect to the unused Ethernet port while leaving the connection to the
network intact.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
When
the RMC is configured for network connection, the default IP address is
no longer available. The laptop must have an IP address compatible with the new non
-default
address assigned to the RMC.
