12.12 USB Options
Press the ‘Setup’ screen key, then touch the ‘Audio’ tab followed by the ‘USB’ tab to
see the options for the USB-B and SQ-Drive.
USB Mode –
This switches between USB-B and SQ-Drive modes.
USB-B should be selected for connection to a computer via the USB-B port on the
rear of the SQ and SQ-Drive should be selected when recording or playing back audio
to or from a USB storage device on the surface of the SQ.
These modes are exclusive with regards to audio. i.e. It is not possible to record to
SQ-Drive at the same time as streaming audio over USB-B.
USB Sample Rate –
The sample rate setting applies to both USB-B and SQ-Drive, and can be switched
between 96kHz (no sample rate conversion) and 48kHz (sample rate conversion
enabled).
Conversion takes place between the core and USB-B or SQ-Drive connection so the
SQ will continue to run all processing at 96kHz whichever mode is selected.
Selecting 48kHz mode will allow recording and playback of up to 32 channels to and
from SQ-Drive. For more information, see the SQ-Drive Multitrack Recording and
Playback section of this guide.
