Redundant System Restrictions
Introduction
This appendix explains the known restrictions affecting a redundant
system.
Redundant System
Restrictions
There are several restricted features and functions in a redundant
system.
Do not use any of these features in a ControlLogix redundancy
system.
Local chassis I/O, 1756-DHRIO, or 1756-DNB modules.
Event task.
Inhibit a task.
Motion control, such as these modules:
1756-HYD02
1756-L60M03SE
1756-M02AE
1756-M02AS
1756-M03SE
1756-M08SE
1756-M16SE
IMPORTANT
In a redundant system, use an EtherNet/IP network only for
HMI/workstation communication and messaging.
Do not use an EtherNet/IP network for:
communication with I/O modules.
communication between devices via produced/consumed
tags.
