Use of a new battery (04_16)
•
Ensure that the ignition switch is
turned to 'key off'.
•
Remove the saddle.
•
Place the battery in its housing.
•
Connect the battery breather
pipe (1).
CAUTION
ALWAYS CONNECT THE BATTERY
BREATHER SO THAT SULPHURIC
ACID STEAM FROM THE BREATHER
DOES NOT CORRODE THE ELECTRI-
CAL SYSTEM, PAINTED PARTS, RUB-
BER COMPONENTS OR GASKETS.
Inwerkingstelling van een
nieuwe accu (04_16)
•
Controleer of de ontstekings-
schakelaar zich in positie 'KEY
OFF' bevindt.
•
Verwijder het zadel.
•
Plaats de accu op zijn plaats.
•
Sluit het ontluchtingsbuisje van
de accu (1) aan.
LET OP
VERBINDT STEEDS DE ONTLUCH-
TING VAN DE ACCU, OM TE VERMIJ-
DEN DAT DE ZWAVELZUURDAMPEN
DIE UIT DE ONTLUCHTING KOMEN
DE ELEKTRISCHE INSTALLATIE, DE
GELAKTE DELEN, DE RUBBEREN
DETAILS OF DE PAKKINGEN KUN-
NEN AANTASTEN.
•
Connect the positive lead (+)
first and then the negative lead
(-).
•
Cover leads and terminals with
neutral grease or petroleum jel-
ly.
•
Fasten the saddle.
•
Verbindt eerst de positieve ka-
bel (+) en daarna de negatieve
kabel (-).
•
Bedekt men de terminals en de
klemmen met neutraal vet of va-
seline.
•
Blokkeer het zadel.
