Checking the electrolyte level
(04_17)
To check electrolyte level:
•
Remove the saddle.
•
Keep the vehicle upright with the
two wheels on the ground.
•
Check that the fluid level is be-
tween the 'MIN' and 'MAX'
notches stamped on the side of
the battery.
Otherwise:
•
Remove the battery.
•
Remove the cell caps.
CAUTION
USE ONLY DISTILLED WATER TO
TOP-UP ELECTROLYTE FLUID. DO
NOT EXCEED THE «MAX» MARK
SINCE THE LEVEL INCREASES DUR-
ING RECHARGE.
Controle van het elektrolytpeil

Voor de controle van het peil handelt men
als volgt:
•
Verwijder het zadel.
•
Houd het voertuig in verticale
positie met de twee wielen op de
grond.
•
Controleer of het vloeistofpeil
zich tussen de twee strepen
"MIN" en "MAX" bevindt, die op
de zijkant van de accu gedrukt
zijn.
Anders handelt men als volgt:
•
Verwijder de accu.
•
Verwijder de doppen van de ele-
menten.
LET OP
VOOR HET BIJVULLEN VAN DE ELEK-
TROLYTVLOEISTOF, GEBRUIKT MEN
ENKEL GEDISTILLEERD WATER.
OVERSCHRIJD NOOIT DE «MAX» RE-
FERENTIE, OMDAT HET PEIL TIJ-
DENS HET LADEN STIJGT.
•
Restore the electrolyte level by
adding distilled water.
•
Herstel het vloeistofpeil door ge-
destilleerd water toe te voegen.
