Install mirror 4.

Tighten nut 2 with vehicle

tools.

Locknut (mirror) on

clamping piece

Joint compound: Multi-Wax

Spray

15 lb/ft (20 Nm)

Fit protective cap 1.

Removing and installing

license-plate carrier

Removing license-plate

carrier

Park motorcycle, ensuring that

support surface is firm and

level.

Remove passenger seat

( 62).

Remove cable strap (arrow)

and disconnect plug connec-

tion 1 for license-plate carrier.

NOTICE

If the license plate carrier is re-

moved for racetrack use, the

vehicle's electronic monitoring

system will interpret this as a de-

fective lamp or bulb and the cor-

responding warning message will

appear in the display. This warn-

ing message is suppressed by

activating the EQIP WARN LAMP

function in the SETUP MENU.

Work the plug connection 1

with the cable out through

lower rear section 2.
