5. Operation
5.1 Voltage supply
The DCU 220 can be operated with the following voltage
supply:
R Storage battery
R Power supply unit
! Only use the power supply unit included in the scope
of delivery.
5.2 Storage battery operation

operation, see the "User manual DCU 220" on the
desktop.
5.3 Opening and closing
Follow the steps below to open the DCU 220:
1. Pull the latch () upward to release the clip ().
2. Pull the clip downward.
3. Open the screen ().

Follow the steps below to close the DCU 220:
1. Close the screen.
2. Push the latch upward.
3. Engage the clip in the cover.
4. Push the latch downward until it locks in place.
5.4 Switching on
! To avoid the formation of condensed water, allow
the DCU 220 to adjust to ambient temperature
before switching on the DCU 220!
1. Turn on the DCU 220 by pressing the key longer
than2 seconds.
i The start screen is always displayed after switch-
on. The applications displayed can be selected on
the start screen.
2. Select the mode in which you want to work.
3. Start the application that you want to use.

CAUTION – Risk of injury from triggering
the airbag with attached DCU 220!
If the DCU 220 is attached to (suspended
from) the steering wheel, injuries could result
from unintentionally triggering the airbag.
¶ Never attach the KTS 350 to the steering
wheel.
