Alarm condition A High EtCO
2
alarm will be given when the measured
EtCO
2
exceeds the alarm limit for 30 seconds.
Possible cause
• Alarm limit is set too low.
• Breath Rate too low.
• Delivered Tidal Volume too low.
• Excessive dead space between patient and exhalation valve/
leakage port.
• Exhalation valve / leakage port is occluded.
Setting range 1 to 99 mmHg
Off
Setting resolution 1 mmHg
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.
This alarm requires a connected EtCO
2
