Using the Fax Functions
Address Book PIN
Specify a PIN to protect the address book. The PIN will be
required to register, edit, or delete destinations.
How to display the settings
[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings> →
<Restrict TX Function> → <Address Book PIN>
Settings
Enter a 7-digit number.
To cancel the PIN option, clear any numbers entered and
press [OK].
Restrict New Destinations
Restrict the destinations that can be specified to pre-
registered one-touch keys or coded dial codes.
Restricting destinations will prevent the following
operations.
• Specifying a destination with the numeric keys
• Registering new destinations to the address book, one-
touch keys, coded dial codes
• Changing destinations that are registered to the address
book, one-touch keys, coded dial codes

[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings> →
<Restrict TX Function> → <Restrict New Destinations>
Settings
(Bold: Default settings)
Off No restriction.
On
Performs restriction. Specifies destinations registered
under the one-touch keys and coded dial codes.
Allow Driver Faxing
Specify whether or not to allow faxes to be sent via a
computer’s fax driver.
How to display the settings
[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings> →
<Restrict TX Function> → <Allow Driver Faxing>
Settings
(Bold: Default settings)
Off Faxes cannot be sent by a computer’s fax driver.
On Faxes can be sent from a computer’s fax driver.
Restrict Sending From History
Specify whether or not to restrict sending faxes from
history.
How to display the settings
[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings>
→ <Restrict TX Function> → <Restrict Sending From
History>
Settings
(Bold: Default settings)
Off Sending from a history is permitted.
On Sending from a history is not permitted.
Fax No. Confirmation Re-Entry
Specify whether or not to require a confirmation before
sending a fax. If you activate this feature, you must re-enter
the fax number before the fax will be sent.

[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings> →
<Restrict TX Function> → <Fax No. Confirmation Re-
Entry>
Settings
(Bold: Default settings)
Off Does not require confirmation.
On Requires you to re-enter the fax number for confirmation.
Restrict Sequential Broadcast
Specify whether or not to restrict faxes to multiple
recipients.
How to display the settings
[ ] (Menu) → <System Management Settings>
→ <Restrict TX Function> → <Restrict Sequential
Broadcast>
Settings
(Bold: Default settings)
Off
Allows you to send a fax to multiple
recipients.
Confirm
Sequential
Broadcast
Displays a confirmation screen when you
send a fax to multiple recipients.
Reject Sequential
Broadcast
Does not allow you to send a fax to multiple
recipients.
