7.4 Data Security and Wireless Options
7.4.1 Encrypted Secure Print Software-D1
• Enables the user to encrypt print data sent from a computer by using the
Secured Print function, and then decrypt it at the device.
• Requires license activation via the LMS.
• Standard on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500 II Series.
7.4.2 iR-ADV Security Kit-P1 for IEEE 2600 Common Criteria Certification Set
• Enables the user to configure security settings that are required to comply with
the IEEE 2600 standard.
• Includes the IEEE 2600 License Certificate, Bootable CD with certified system
software, IEEE 2600 User Manual CD, Installation Manual, and HDD Data
Encryption Kit.
• Cannot be used with the MEAP Web Connection Kit, Super G3 Fax Board (1st
and 2nd lines), Remote Fax Kit-A1, imagePASS-P1, IP FAX Expansion Kit-B1,
Copy Card Reader-F1, and some MEAP applications.
7.4.3. HDD Mirroring Kit
The mirroring function provides redundancy when used with an additional hard
disk drive of the same storage capacity. This maintains system uptime and
preserves company data in the instance of a hard drive failure.
IMPORTANT
Installing the HDD Mirroring Kit (after the machine is installed and operational),
requires the machine’s system software to be updated. This reformats the
entire hard drive, and all data previously stored on the hard disk drive is deleted.
Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that all of the data stored on the hard
disk drive of the machine is backed up prior to installing the HDD Mirroring Kit.
NOTE
• The engine HDD and the HDD used for mirroring must be of the same storage
capacity.
• If the machine has the standard 2.5inch/250 GB HDD, an additional optional
2.5inch/250 GB HDD-N1 is required to back up the data using the HDD
Mirroring Kit.
• If the standard 2.5inch/250 GB HDD was replaced with the optional
2.5inch/1 TB HDD-P1, an additional optional 2.5inch/1 TB HDD-P1 is required
to back up the data using the HDD Mirroring Kit.
