Removing the speaker
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the side cover.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the speaker and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the connector on the system board.
2. Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the chassis.
3. Press the tab, lift and slide the speaker along with the cable from the slot on the chassis.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
