Removing the intrusion switch
Prerequisites

team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety
instructions that are shipped with your product.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. Keep the plastic scribe ready.
Steps
1. Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the system board.
2. Remove the cable from the cable routing latch.
3. Using a plastic scribe, slide the intrusion switch and remove it from under the intrusion switch slot.
