Step 4 - Download the configuration file
1 Connect to the EFX48 with the ICE-X
tool. See details on page 129.
2 If a copy of the old configuration file, or a master configuration file is available,
then use ICE-X to restore (download) it to the new EFX48.
If you receive an error message about the MIB file version, please contact
your Eaton dc product supplier for advice.
3 If a copy of the old configuration file, or a master configuration file is not
available, then use the navigation switch or
via Web
to change the configuration
settings to the correct values.
Step 5 - Check the EFX48 operation
1 Check that the EFX48 has registered all rectifiers.
2 Check all control processes, alarms and current measurement(s).
3 Check the power system identification parameters and communications settings.
4 Change the configuration as required to ensure that the EFX48 operates as
intended.
5 Check the EFX48 time. See the Real Time Clock section on page 107.
Procedure complete
Return the faulty EFX48 with a completed Equipment Incident Report on page 159.
Battery Mid-point Monitoring (String Fail) Alarm
Use the following procedure if a
String Fail
alarm is generated.
Step 1 - Identify the faulty battery string
1 Press the navigation switch on the EFX48 to silence the alarm.
2 Connect to the EFX48 via its Web pages. Go to
I/O > GPIO Connections
.
3 Identify which GPIO input (and in turn which battery) is faulty.
Step 2 - Check cell/monobloc voltages
1 Use a suitable voltmeter to measure the individual cell/monobloc voltages.
Measure on the cable lugs and inter-connecting bars so that loose connections
will also be detected.
2 The faulty or poorly connected cell/monobloc has the voltage with the greatest
deviation from the average.
