[Description] Transmits one status byte for a peripheral device to the connector pin
specified by
n
, as follows:
n
Connector pin
0, 48 Drawer kick-out connector pin 3
[Notes]
ù
Peripheral device status data which can be transmitted are shown in the table below.
ù
Bit 0 is always set to “1” if no connection is made to the connector.
ù
When DTR/DSR control is selected, the printer transmits only 1 byte after confirming
that the host is ready to receive data (DSR signal is SPACE). If the host computer is
not ready to receive data (DSR signal is MARK), the printer waits until the host is ready.
When XON/XOFF control is selected, the printer transmits only 1 byte without
confirming the status of the DSR signal.
ù
Since this command is stored in the receive buffer and then executed during normal
command process, there may be a time lag between command reception and status
transmission, depending on the receive buffer status.
ù
When Automatic Status Back (ASB) is enabled using
GS a
, the status transmitted by
this command must be differentiated from the ASB status. For a detailed description,
refer to Appendix D.
ù
If
n
is out of the specified range, this command is ignored.
