Please observe the points listed be low when travelling with your notebo ok.
Before you travel
► Switch off the radio component for dat a security reasons. W ith data traffic via a wireless
connection, it is also possible for unauthorized third parties to receive data.
Information on activating data encryption is provided in the documentation
for your radio component.
► Be sure that you only o perate the notebook on aircraft when attendant has
announced that it is safe to do so.
When travelling in other countries
► If you are tra velling abroad, check that the AC adapter can be operated with the
local AC voltage. If this is not the case, obtain the appropriate AC adapter for
your notebook. Do not use any other voltage converter!
► Check whethe r the local AC voltage and the power cable are compatible. If this is not
the case, buy a power cable tha t matches the local conditions.
► Enquire with the corresp onding government office of the country you will be travelling in as to
whether you may operate the radio component integrated in your n otebook there).
► Take the n ecessary plug adapte rs i f y ou’re traveling overseas. Check the following diagram
to determine which plug adapter you’ll need or ask your travel agent.
