Notebook: transporting
Protect the no tebook from severe shocks and extreme temperatures
(e.g. direct sunlight in a car).
► If your device has an op tical drive, remove all d ata media (e.g. CD, DVD) from the drives.

► Switch the notebook off.
► Unplug the AC adapter and all external devices from the power outlet.
► Disconnect the AC adapter cable and the data cables for all external devices.
► Close the LCD screen.
► To protect against damaging jolts and bumps, use a notebook c arrying
case to transport your notebook.
Cleaning the notebo

Do not clean any interior parts yourse lf; leave this job to a service technician.
Only use cleaning prod u cts designed for compu ters. Normal ho usehold
cleaners and polishes can damage the markings on the keyboard and the
device, the paintwork or the notebook itself.
Ensure that no liquid enters the notebook.
The LCD screen very sensitive to scratches. Only clean the display
surface with a very soft, slightly damp cloth.

► To prevent accidental activation of the device, remove the power plug of
the AC adapter from the power socket.
The surface may be c leaned with a dry cloth. If particularly dirty, use a damp cloth that has
been dipped in water mixed with mild domestic detergen t and then carefully wrung out.
To clean the keyboard and the touchpad, if available, you can use disinfectant wipes.
Ensure that no liquid enters the device.
