hold your hands and arms under or near the group head, steam wand or
hot water outlet during operation and thereafter.
• Use caution when operating the Espresso Machine on metal surfaces
(e.g. sink) as metal surfaces may get hot during use.
• Only touch hot parts (e.g. group head, portafilter, hot water outlet, steam
wand) at the dedicated handles during operation and shortly thereafter to
avoid scalds. Even after operation these parts may be still hot.
• Hot water and hot steam can escape from the group head, portafilter,
steam wand and hot water outlet. Do not hold your hands and arms or
any delicate objects under or near these parts, while the appliance is
still hot. Always ensure that the steam wand points to the drip tray, when
not in use.
• Before use, always ensure that the portafilter is installed correctly in the
group head. Do not remove the portafilter from the group head during
operation to avoid risk of burns due to hot water and steam.
• Always wait until the appliance is cooled down to room temperature and
empty the water tank and the drip tray before moving or cleaning the
appliance. Grasp the appliance on both sides of the bottom of the appli-
ance base (not the drip tray!) if you want to move the appliance.
