Programming Shot Volume or
Shot Duration
Note:
The 1 CUP and 2 CUP buttons use dura-
tion to control espresso volume. Access
the additional features (see: ›Advanced
Settings‹), if you wish to use volumetric
control instead of duration to determine
espresso volume. See: ›Measurement
Method for Extraction (VoL)‹. In both
cases, programming is done in the same
way, as described below.
1. Fill the portafilter using the auto grind,
dose & tamp function. Insert the porta-
filter into the group head.
2. Via the MENU button, switch to pro-
gram mode.
3. If required, rotate the SELECT dial until
the desired function is shown on the
LCD display: “1 CUP” or “2 CUP”.
4. Press the SELECT dial to start espresso
extraction.
5. When the required espresso volume/
duration has been extracted, press the
SELECT dial to stop the extraction. The
Espresso Machine will beep once to
confirm the new volume/duration.
