Chapter 4
DRIVING
Before entering the vehicle
1. Check that windows, mirrors and lamps are clean.
2. Visually check tyre ination.
Note It is recommended to check the tyre pressures with a pressure gauge
each week. Refer to Tyres in chapter 7.
Before driving away
1. Ensure that all doors are closed and secured.
2. Position your seat for comfortable driving.
3. Adjust rear vision mirrors.
4. FASTEN SEAT BELTS.
5. Check if the warning indicators light up when you turn the key to start the engine.
Refer to Warning lamps in chapter 1A.
Automatic transmission

: Have the ignition on and press the brake pedal before
moving the transmission selector away from the P (park) position.
Parking
1. Apply the park brake.
2. Manual transmission: Place in reverse or rst gear.
Automatic transmission: Place in P (park) position.
3.
Close all windows.
4. Switch off all exterior lamps.
5. Turn the ignition key to the
LOCK position and remove the key.
6.
Lock all doors.
WARNING
• To avoid the possibility of injury, always fully apply the park brake before
exiting the vehicle.
•
Be careful where you park or drive. As with any vehicle, do not park or operate
this vehicle in areas where combustible materials such as dry grass or leaves
can come in contact with the hot exhaust system.
•
Never leave the engine running in an area such as a closed garage or
underground car park.
