DRIVING
Fitting driving lights or
insect screens
When tting these accessories be careful
not to restrict air ow, otherwise engine
overheating and/or poor air conditioning
performance may result.
Nothing should be tted over the upper or
lower air intakes at the front of the vehicle,
as this will affect engine cooling.
Fitting roo/nudge bars
If a roo/nudge bar is to be tted, it is critical the Holden approved roo/nudge bar be
used. Other types must not be tted. The Holden roo/nudge bar is available from your
Holden Dealer and has been compatibility tested with the vehicle’s design, including
the Holden airbag system.
WARNING
Fitting other types of roo/nudge bars may affect crash performance, airbag
performance and engine cooling.
Fitting a roo/nudge bar, or making other modications to the front of the vehicle, may
change the impact speed which would normally cause the airbag to inate, reducing its
effectiveness. Roo bars should not be tted to vehicles operating in suburban areas,
as they increase the risk of injury to a pedestrian in the event of a collision. Roo/nudge
bars are only recommended for country or outback areas, where additional protection
from straying animals is required. Please remember that defensive driving and limiting
driving speed to the road conditions is always the best approach, particularly where
road side signs indicate wildlife is abundant.
Cargo barrier
If a cargo barrier is to be tted, it is critical the Holden approved cargo barrier be used.
Other types must not be tted. The Holden cargo barrier is available from your Holden
Dealer and has been compatibility tested with the vehicle’s design, including the Holden
side curtain airbag system, tting any other type of cargo barrier may interfere with the
deployment of the side curtain airbag system and reduce its effectiveness in protecting
passengers (excluding third row seats) in the event of a collision.
