WEEKLY CHECKS
CLUTCH FLUID
WARNING
Do not let brake uid contact your skin or eyes. If you do get it in your eyes or on
your skin, wash the affected skin thoroughly with soap and water, or ush eyes
immediately with water and seek medical attention.
Do not spill brake uid on the vehicle’s exterior surfaces. It can damage the
paintwork. If you do, wash it off immediately.
Clutch uid level
Check the clutch uid level in the clutch
uid reservoir weekly.
Checking the clutch uid level
The uid level is visible through the clutch
uid reservoir. Refer to Under bonnet
layout previously in this chapter for clutch
uid reservoir location.
Maintain the level between the MIN and
MAX markings.
If the uid is between these levels, do not
remove the reservoir cap, as brake uid
exposed to the atmosphere will quickly
absorb moisture.
Adding clutch uid
1. Ensure that the ignition is switched off.
2. Wipe the sides of the cap clean and turn anticlockwise to remove.
3. Top up with heavy duty clutch uid which meets Holden specications. Refer to
Specications in chapter 8 for the correct specication.
WARNING
Use only new brake uid. Use of old, used or inferior clutch uid may endanger
the functioning of the clutch system.
4. Secure the cap and clean up any spilt uid.
Note If the clutch uid reservoir requires constant topping up it could indicate that
a fault exists. Contact your Holden Dealer immediately.
