Installing Red Hat Linux 9.0
Red Hat Linux 9.0 Pre-installation Instructions
1. Complete the pre-NOS installation procedures listed in Chapter 1.
2. Have the following installation requirements on hand:

HP ProLiant ML110 Server Startup CD-ROM
Red Hat Linux 9.0 CD-ROMs (3 discs)
A Windows PC that has a:
— Floppy drive
— CD-ROM drive
— Browser that supports HTML
This requirement is for when you need to create driver diskettes from the Startup CD.
Two or more clients for testing purpose (optional)
Red Hat Linux 9.0 Installation Flow
1. Install Red Hat Linux 9.0.
2. Install additional HP accessories.

Phase 1 - Launching the Red Hat Linux 9.0 Installer
1. Turn on the server and insert the Red Hat Linux 9.0 CD 1.
The system will display a text menu.
If you are using the Promise FastTrak TX4000 IDE RAID controller, refer to the
readme.txt file in the Promise FastTrak TX4000 driver disc for instructions.
If you do not have a driver disc, proceed to step 2.
