3 How many devices can I connect to my
HUAWEI router?
The maximum number of connectable wired devices depends on the number of
LAN ports on the router. The maximum number of connectable wireless devices
depends on the router's Wi-Fi chipset. The actual number of connections is subject
to the actual environment.
Use a network cable to connect a switch to the LAN port (or a WAN/LAN port if the port is
auto-adaptive) to allow more wired connections, as devices can connect to the switch to
wiredly access the Internet. (For details about how to connect devices to the switch, refer to
the user guide of the switch.) In this way, a maximum of 253 devices can access the
Internet.

Taking HUAWEI WiFi AX2
as an example. The router
has three network ports,
subtract one network port
for connecting to the
Internet. Therefore, a
maximum of two devices
can be connected wiredly to
the network port for
Internet access. The same
rule applies to other
products. For details, see
the actual number of
network ports.
