Rack-Mounting Requirements
•
You can install the router in a four-post rack or cabinet.
NOTE: The shipping and installation site must be an ESD-approved area.
•
The rack rails must be spaced wide enough to accommodate the router chassis's
external dimensions: 78.75 in. (200 cm) high, 36.22 in. (92 cm) deep, and
19 in. (48.3 cm) wide (see Figure 1 on page 6).
NOTE: A typical four-post rack measures 84 in. (213.4 cm) high,
24 in. (61 cm) to 30 in. (76.2 cm) deep, and 19 in. (48.3 cm) wide.
NOTE: The dimensions also include the standard and extended cable
manager systems and standard EMI covers.

The rack must be able to accommodate the additional depth of the extended cable
manager system, 40.15 in. (102 cm) deep (see Figure 1 on page 6).
•
The rack must be strong enough to support the weight of the fully populated router.
