6.5 DC connection
6.5.1 General instructions
The DC connection terminals of the device can be used for power supply or power
consumption.
Appropriate external DC fuses must be designed by the system manufacturer.
If external devices shall be connected to master / slave systems, the DC links must
be connected with DC fuses. => Wiring Diagrams.
DC operating voltage range [U
dc] for 400 / 690 V mains voltages. => Technical
Data.
The maximum permanent current carrying capacity of the DC terminals is 580 A.
DC fuses can be found in chapter => Protection of drive converters.
Chapter => Technical Data contains information on the DC input current for each
unit size at rated operation.
The available current for external devices depends on the size of the device and the
motor power output.
ATTENTION
The maximum input power per module is 395 kVA.
Exceeding this limit will destroy the device.
