III. USER INTERFACES
9.0 SYSTEM OPERATIONS
NOTE: The KDR AU DDR is built from various components designed to operate together. If the system stops
working due to an electromagnetic disturbance, the user must cycle power to restart the system.
9.1 System Start Up
1. Turn on the positioner.
Flip the switch labelled “1” to the downward position (see Figure 9.1.1).
2. Turn on the positioner control panel.
Press back and hold the silver button labelled “2” on the lower left side of the positioner control panel (see Figure 9.1.2).

After the positioner control panel is powered, it will read “disconnected”. Do not turn on switch “3” until it reads “discon-
nected”.
3. Turn on the interface power supply unit.
Flip the switch labelled “3” to the downward position (see Figure 9.1.3).
4. Turn on the computer.
Press the button labelled “4” on the computer (see Figure 9.1.4).
